Wake me up before you Whisky a Go Go

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (May 18, 2017) - Blind Innocence had the opportunity to play the world famous Whisky a Go Go back in May. The Whisky is such a fine venue and the management is top notch. The band rose to the occasion and performed an engaging set. Although they went on in the second position of a five band bill, their set drew the most fans and energy which was pretty impressive on a Thursday night in Hollywood. Destination Unknown

DANA POINT, Calif. (May, 2017) - My good friends Roberta and Gil were married in Jamaica on December 31, 2016. Unfortunately, many were not able to attend the destination wedding nuptials. This month they hosted a reception at the Dana Point Yacht Club for local family and friends. Here are some images from the day.

Titans invade the Mt. SAC Relays

TORRANCE, Calif. (April, 2017) - For the first time in many years, the Cal State Fullerton Titans showed up to the Mt. SAC Relays with the full team. With representation in many track and field events, it yielded some first place finishes and several personal bests. With Mt. SAC's stadium still under construction, this years Relays were held at the brand new Murdock Stadium on the campus of El Camino College. This was the first major Track and Field event to be run in the stadium. Very nice indeed. Here are some images from the event.

Got Bruno?

LAS VEGAS, NV (March 11, 2017) - Took Jessica and her friends out to Las Vegas this month for the Bruno Mars show. Thanks to Mr. Miller and JZ, the girls got hooked up with a totally comp'd weekend at the Bellagio. This included limo service to/from the show. As usual I took the Hasselblad along for the trip and did some night photography. Here's a few images from the weekend.

Just Words...

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (February 25, 2017) - Blind Innocence recorded their first music video for the song "Words Made of Hate" on location in HB. A bit of historical info, the home that the scenes were recorded at belonged to the Slater family (as in Slater Avenue). All outdoor footage was shot at Huntington Central Park. It was a long day, but it should payoff when the video is released. Here's some behind the scene shots from the day.

The Story Never Ends

(February, 2017) - Southern California has definitely seen its share of rain this winter. On a wet and rainy Saturday, there was a moment of clarity late in the afternoon. I was able to grab the camera and head out to Palos Verdes to capture the Point Vicente Lighthouse. When I arrived there was some pretty late afternoon light hitting the cliffs. The lighthouse is 66 feet tall and sits 185 feet above the ocean. This image was captured with the Hasselblad HC 50-110mm at 50mm, 1/160, f/7.1 at ISO 100 with a circular polarizer.

Winter Formal

(JANUARY, 2017) - Jessica's 2017 Winter Formal was held at the Discovery Science Center in Santa Ana, CA. I was already scheduled to shoot some portraits, so had the jet black background setup with a couple of speedlights. Before they left I had a chance capture a few frames.
