Slow Turning

October, 2020 - What I love about the Bolsa Chica Wetlands, is that even when things look quiet at a glance, there are still cool things happening if you are patient. I've been taking my time and stopping in areas to wait for things to happen. Below are some images that I would have missed if I rushed through.

King Fisher

Snowy Egret

Peregrine Falcon

Yellow-crowned Night Heron

Adapted Glass

October, 2020 - Acquired an old Minolta 60mm f/1.2 lens online and adapted it to a Leica M mount. It's really hard to photograph moving kittens with a manual focus lens at wide apertures. So I basically had to wait them out until they were still for a moment and hope for the best. In addition, my 1983 Leica M is not the fastest camera either. However, the images that it creates are worth the trouble. I shoot the Leica in monochrome mode. So these images are out of the camera.
