LA Fashion

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (October 7, 2017) - This was my first year covering LA Fashion Week at the Beverly Hilton. Upon arrival, you could feel the electricity in the air. Guests and models were dressed to the nine's and the event was packed (shoulder to shoulder). All images were captured with the EF135mm f/2. Here are a few from the night. Thanks to Bruce Sterling for the evening.

Time Warp

KAUAI, Hawaii (October, 2017) - I hadn't been to Kauai in over 10 years, but this place is timeless. Business have changed and traffic has certainly changed, but the landscape remains one of my favorite places on this earth. October is such a beautiful time of year here. It's a little warm and humid, with showers on and off throughout the day and evening. But in the in-between, there are some magical moments to be captured. Here are a few images from my trip. Most were captured with the Hasselblad, 50-110mm using Lee and B+W filters.

Toro Nation

CARSON, Calif - The Cal State Dominguez Hills mens soccer team is red hot. The Toros are 11-3-1 overall with a conference record of 8-1-0. With only two games remaining in the regular season, they are certainly headed to La Jolla for the CCAA Championships. I got out for an earlier game this season at the StubHub field and here are some images from the evening.

AMPLYFi'D

Back in September, 2017, Blind Innocence played at AMPLYFi on Melrose Avenue in Hollywood. AMPLYFi is a little hole in the wall that is hard to find and you have to enter though the alley behind it. There is no signage from the front facing Melrose. It's a small venue that can accommodate less than 100 people, but has a cool vibe with a collection of eclectic chairs around the perimeter. There are no frills, food or drinks, just minimal lighting and good sound. Here are a few images from the night.
