July, 2021 Miscellaneous

(July, 2021) - It’s a slow time of year when all the babies have fledged, so here’s some miscellaneous images from the local area.

Burrowing Owls

ONTARIO, Calif. (July, 2021) - I hadn’t been out to see the Burrowing Owls since they were babies, but now it was great to see them hunting on their own. During the hot summer months, they love to eat June bugs. Here’s a couple shots of them grabbing their snacks.

MIscellaneous Wildlife

June, 2021 - Shot some miscellaneous flowers, birds and moon’s this month. Here’s a selection of images.

Tide Pools Revisited

LA JOLLA (June, 2021) - I hadn’t been down to the tide pools in a few years. But I had some friends in town staying nearby, so I took a road trip. Although it was mid-day, I realized how much I miss this place. I’m definitely going to head back down soon for some sunset photos.

SoFi Stadium

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (6/24/21) - Got the opportunity to tour the new home of the Rams and Chargers. It’s now the largest NFL stadium. Very well done and layed out. Here’s a few selections from the tour.

Coyotes

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (June, 2021) - Was walking into the Wetlands and right up on the ridge to my left were these two juvenile females. This is an area that you rarely see them. It was awesome because they hung out for photos and then left. Here’s a few from the day.

The Red Fox

SAN PEDRO, Calif. (May, 2021) - Caught this young Red Fox early in the morning by himself. He was very hungry to the point where he crawled under the fence and looked at me from about 12 feet away. It was raining earlier in the morning, so that's why he looks a little wet. When he realized I didn't have any food for him, he crawled back under the fence and I saw him catch something for breakfast.

More Osprey

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (May, 2021) - At my count, there are three baby Osprey this year. It's amazing how quickly they grow. They are almost the size of their mom now.  The sequence below is of the male catching a Midshipman and while trying to deliver it to the nest, two crows chased him for 5 minutes.
