And then there were four... coming off the signing of Angelyn & Blind Innocence to a record label, the news came that Brandon (Guitar, Vocals) was leaving the band. What was meant to be a session for album photos, we found ourselves changing plans due to in-climate weather. Plan B was to shoot some studio shots at Forged In Fire Studios (@forgedinfirestudios) in Seal Beach. However, after a couple hours, the skies parted and the sunshine broke through. We kept it light and headed down to the beach to capture some of the following images.

After NAMM

ANAHEIM, Calif. - Blind Innocence played an after NAMM show on Saturday night at the Grasslands in the Anaheim Gardenwalk. They played about a 30 minute set to a pretty packed house. The venue was pretty dark but I made the best of it. All images captured with the Nikon D3 at 24mm.

NAMM 2018

ANAHEIM, Calif. (January, 2018) - I was able to attend NAMM this year and it was in a word, overwhelming. This was the first year that they took over the Hilton and Marriott in addition to the Convention Center. In four days I felt that I still didn't see everything.

The Wondrous World of Wright Records

LAKE FOREST, Calif. (January, 2018) - At the turn of the New Year, Blind Innocence was signed by Wright Records. The producer of their record is Frank D. Wright, former guitar player for the Sonny & Cher Band and Chicago. Starting in early January, the band went into California Sound Studios in Lake Forest to record their debut album. The whole process feels right and things are progressing nicely. The band has booked an album release party at The House of Blues in Anaheim on March 17, 2018.

Whisky - Round Two

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (January, 2018) - In January, Blind Innocence returned to the world famous Whisky a Go Go. This time around the band had their permanent line up. Coming off the recording of their debut album, the songs were fresh and the band was tight. Here are some images from the night.

Two Suns in the Sunset

December, 2017 has been extraordinarily warm in Southern Cal with temperatures averaging between 70-80 degrees. The warm temperatures have been accompanied by some beautiful sunsets with vivid colors. Happy New Year to all and hope your 2018 is a good one.

Sweet Sound of Success

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (November, 2017) - Sunset Sound is one of the oldest independent studios in Los Angeles. It was opened in 1958 and was initially used by Disney for movie productions. Some classic artists who have recorded at Sunset Sound are the Doors, The Rolling Stones, Rod Stewart, Prince, the Bee Gees, Bob Dylan and Elton John. Some more contemporary artists are The Black Keys, Sheryl Crow, Beck, Paramore, Maroon 5 and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. This month I documented the recording of the second EP for a group named Auburn Road in Studio 2. Here are some images from the session.
