HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (February, 2020) - With the high pressure situation in SoCal, we have had beautiful weather in the 70's and 80's for the month of February. Because of this I have been taking a lot of walks in the wetlands and surrounding areas with a camera. Here's some local wildlife and scenery.

San Joaquin
IRVINE, Calif. (January, 2020) - Happy New Year! Got out with Bryan this month back to the San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary in Irvine, CA. All images shot with a Nikon 200-500mm zoom lens. The lens is very light and handles nicely. Performance is also very nice. There is so much flexibility when you can hand-hold the lens and not be restricted by a monopod. Below are some images from the day.

Chasing Eagles
December, 2019 - As the year winds down I took some time to get out and enjoy some local wildlife. After a few outings, the highlight was finally seeing two Bald Eagles, La'i and her male companion from the Channel Islands. Here are some photos from various days around Socal.
La'i the female is tagged on both wings with #85

The light that guides you home...
KANEOHE, HI (November, 2019) - On October 21, 2019 my grandmother passed away in her sleep at the age of 105. This month we had a service for her at Hawaiian Memorial Park in Kaneohe. With all of our busy lives, it's hard to get everyone together these days. It was definitely nice to see three generations of our family at the same table. It just doesn't happen very often. Anyway, I hung over a few days and toured around the island with my camera. Here are some images from the trip. RIP Nana...

Rock Pfest
PFLUGGERVILLE, TX (October 17, 2019) - Blind Innocence headlined the city of Pfluggerville's Pfall Chili Pfest. The approximate attendance according to their Facebook post was 29,000. The band was really well received. Lots of new fans and merch sold. The band was also the first to play on the brand new stage. A good time had by all. Here's some images from the day.
