The 12 Minute Photo Shoot

WEST L.A. (August, 2017) - Funny story, I was contracted to shoot some portraits for a magazine article. The subject was Fredrik Halland, a 23 year old guitar player best known for touring with Colbie Callait. Fredrik is sponsored by Vola Guitars and received a signature model called the Vola Quaint Vasti BSB Relic.

As it turns out, there was a scheduling mishap and I was given 12 minutes to complete the photo shoot! I brought a bunch of gear, portable backgrounds, etc., but given the timeline the setup became very simple. Two Nikon speedlights! We actually shot the images in a rehearsal room and luckily, there was kind of a cool brick wall with sound treatment. Below are images from the Vola website, and then below that are images from the MilliOnAir Magazine article. Not all the images in the magazine are mine. Just the black and white on page 4 and one on page 6. Thanks for looking.

Firth of Fifth

ANAHEIM, Calif. (July 18, 2017)  - Blind Innocence performed at The Fifth Rooftop Bar for the filming of the OC Battle of the Chefs. It was a beautiful evening and we actually got to sample and vote on the dish (Paella). I voted for Chef Zach's dish because it had a little spice to it and was less traditional, but Chef Leo won the competition. Here are some images from the evening.

The winner!

Wake me up before you Whisky a Go Go

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (May 18, 2017) - Blind Innocence had the opportunity to play the world famous Whisky a Go Go back in May. The Whisky is such a fine venue and the management is top notch. The band rose to the occasion and performed an engaging set. Although they went on in the second position of a five band bill, their set drew the most fans and energy which was pretty impressive on a Thursday night in Hollywood. Here are some images from the night. Thanks for looking.
